The Man Behind the Campaign
About Adam
Adam Lee Heimerman is a 7th generation East Tennessean and has always been passionate about his home. He grew up understanding the value of hard work, the importance of reliability, and the strength of Appalachian resilience. He spent ten years working with the river guiding community across our nation and spent more time outdoors than in. Adam is the type of man who chose morals over money, and experiences over material wealth. He does not desire a career in politics nor personal enrichment, and that is what we need most in these trying times, a man with integrity.
Adam is running for Congress because he believes East Tennessee deserves a representative who actually listens to the people, not corporate donors or foreign governments. Adam believes in defending the Constitution and uniting Americans behind common goals, not dividing by party lines. He brings ideas to the table, but wants all of us to participate in the process of finding the best solution for the most people. We all have the right to be heard and know our leaders possess empathy for those they represent.

Secure Our Border Ethically
We are a nation of immigrants, but sovereign nations must have secure borders. We need better paths to citizenship while showing compassion to those seeking the legal route. Our border enforcement must be prepared to defend against smugglers, yet ready to help those seeking a chance to pursue their American Dream.
End Citizens United
Corporations are not people. Super PACs must be abolished. Lobbyists should not have more influence over our leaders than the people who elected them in the first place. Adam despises the black hole that is Citizens United and will aggressively pursue its destruction. Heavy corporate resistance is to be expected.
Housing for the People/By the People
Our district has fallen victim to the massive rise in cost of home ownership. For many of us, it is now out of reach. Our American Dream has been stolen by corporate greed and failed polices that hold back the working class.
Environment Protection
Americans deserve clean water, air, and soil. Our national parks and public lands are in danger of being sold off to corporations. History has shown us how human hubris can destroy swaths of land and kill the life it supports. We must act now before it is too late.
Fiscal Responsibility While Investing in America
We are the wealthiest nation on Earth, yet our debt continues to put us at risk of economic collapse. We cannot continue failed economic policies and increase our debts to subsidize billion dollar corporations.
Empower the Working Class
Working class Americans are the blood of this nation. When they are able to thrive, so does our community and the families that call them home. A healthy workforce creates a better economy. A better economy creates better opportunities for our children to pursue.
Adam Lee Heimerman is the type of man who will stand strong for those he represents and fight for those who cannot defend themselves. A man of the people, for the people.
